Lucas Digne is officially an FC Barcelona player

Lucas Digne was officially presented as an FC Barcelona player on Thursday morning at the Camp Nou, following his medical at Ciutat Esportiva.

It was an early start for the Frenchman, who arrived at the Hospital of Barcelona at 7.00am CET before continuing his medical examinations at the club’s facilities. The day before, Digne underwent a rhinoplasty in order to amend an old nasal fracture.

The former Paris Saint-Germain player arrived at the Camp Nou shortly after 11.00am where he was welcomed by club president Josep Maria Bartomeu, who said: “We are delighted that you have agreed to join our club”.

The Frenchman, in turn, responded by saying: “I am very happy to be a Barça player, it is a great club and it is a great day for me.”

The official presentation of the agreement took place on the Camp Nou terrace, before Digne posed with his new Barça jersey on the pitch.

Say bye to candy crush,Pokémon Go is already the biggest U.S. mobile game ever — and its coming for Snapchat

Step aside, "Candy Crush Saga," and look out, Snapchat.

Pokémon Go has burst onto the scene in recent days to become the biggest U.S. mobile game ever, according to new data from SurveyMonkey Intelligence. 

The app attracted 21 million daily active users on Tuesday, the biggest U.S. audience for a mobile game ever. 

That data follows on other recent studies that have shown Pokémon Go surpassing Tinder and approaching Twitter in popularity

Those users are bringing in big bucks. Pokémon Go remains atop the list of the highest grossing apps. SurveyMonkey projected that the app is bringing in millions of dollars per day.

That initial success was enough to send Nintendo stock soaring (Nintendo didn't make the game, but owns a piece of the company that did — Niantic), adding more than $7 billion to its total value.

Those numbers can be hard to believe, but T-Mobile CEO John Legere noted on Tuesday that his company's network had experienced the growth first hand.

Amazon Just Had It Biggest Sales Ever

The online retailer said Wednesday that the self-created holiday was its biggest sales day ever, with worldwide orders rising more than 60 percent compared with the previous Prime Day. In the U.S., orders rose by more than 50 percent.

The company declined to share how many people signed up for Prime to participate in the sale. To qualify for the sales event, which was created last year to celebrate Amazon's 20th birthday, shoppers need to be members of the service.

Amazon shares were roughly flat, near $747, in late morning trading Wednesday.

The retailer's shares ended the prior day slightly lower following concerns over a midday sales update from ChannelAdvisor. The e-commerce software company, which helps power the online operations of roughly 3,000 retailers, said Prime Day sales for its customers selling on Amazon were flat with the prior year's event.

But Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster cautioned investors about overreacting to that data point, as ChannelAdvisor's numbers represent just a sample of Amazon's sellers, he said. He added that the figures only capture same-store sales trends; and given that the number of vendors participating in Prime Day was more than double the prior year, they did not capture the complete picture.

Meanwhile, Amazon spread out its deals further into the day, including more than 800 of its limited-time "Lightning Deals" launching well into the evening. The retailer said Prime members saved more than double the amount they did last Prime Day — and it is already working to amp them up for next year's event.

"After yesterday's results, we'll definitely be doing this again," Greg Greeley, vice president of Amazon Prime, said in a press release announcing the results.

On its inaugural Prime Day, Amazon sold more units than it did on the previous Black Friday, which at the time was its largest sales day ever. The company did not provide an explicit sales forecast for this year's event, but said it anticipated the "record-breaking" day it received.

Amazon sold more than 90,000 TVs and more than two million toys on Prime Day, the company said. Ordering on its mobile app also accelerated compared with the prior year, increasing more than two times among Prime members.

3 Men Shot in Virginia While Broadcasting Hangout Live on Facebook

Another terrifying moment was captured on Facebook Live As three men were shot by an unidentified gunman while they were listening to music and smoking inside a car in Norfolk, Virginia

The victims appeared to be live streaming their hangout on Facebook when a barrage of gunshots rang out.

All three suffered gunshot wounds and two of the men were said to have life-threatening injuries. They were being treated at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

A bystander can be heard in the chilling Facebook live video trying to comfort the wounded men after the shooting.

“Look at me, stay with me now,” he said. “Don’t go to sleep.”

“They’re coming. They’re coming to get you. Keep your eyes open. Keep listening to my voice. It’s going to be alright,” the man added.

Police spokesman Daniel Hudson told Buzzfeed News that Norfolk detectives are “aware of the possible incident being recorded live to a Facebook page” and are “looking into it.”

Google Hangouts on Android can now record and send video

More than two years after it updated its iOS Hangouts app with the ability to record and send video, Google is bringing the feature to the Android version of the software. Hangouts users with Android phones will be soon be able to record and send up to a minute of footage from inside the app once the update arrives on their local Google Play store.

Google first allowed iOS Hangouts users to record and send video in February 2014, albeit with a 10-second limit. That was upped to a full minute in March this year, but Android users were still left out, having to make do with updates like the ability to send stickers in Google Voice conversations. Google still seems to be making better apps for iPhone than for its own operating system, but the new update should at least make Hangouts more equal as Google pushes it live across various stores this week.

FC Barcelona complete Samuel Umtiti transfer from Lyon

After the signing of Denis suarez, Barcelona's second transfer is a done deal.

The Catalan giants announced on Tuesday they have completed the transfer of Olympique Lyonnais center-back Samuel Umtiti, who joins the Blaugrana on a five-year contract. Barça paid a €25 million transfer fee, and Umtiti's initial buyout clause is set at €60 million for the time being.

Umtiti will be formally presented on Friday in a press conference at Camp Nou, and his shirt number is yet to be unveiled. The 22-year-old will serve as a backup to Gerard Piqué and Javier Mascherano in the center of the defense, and could also play as a left-back if necessary. Umtiti's signing addresses a necessity the Catalans have had for quite some time: a young defender with plenty of potential to develop and become a future star.

After signing Denis Suárez and Umtiti, Barça are now looking for a backup to the 'MSN' trio. Atlético Madrid's Luciano Vietto is the dream target, and that deal could become a reality sooner rather than later. Quietly and smartly, the Blaugranes are putting together a good transfer window, and we could be looking at a deep, deep squad next season.

At Least 20 Reported Dead After Head-On Collision Of Two Trains In Italy

This above photo shows what is left of two commuter trains after their head-on collision in southern Italy on Tuesday.

Two trains collided in southern Italy on Tuesday, killing at least 20 people and injuring dozens, according to wire reports.

The head-on crash occurred in the region of Puglia, The Associated Press reports, and the trains belonged to a local private rail company.

The line "is used by thousands of people daily on about 200 trains," the BBC reports. "Work is under way to make it a double-track line."

Rescue work is ongoing, the AP writes, with at least two people rescued alive from the wreckage.

The mayor of the nearby town of Corato posted on Facebook that the crash is a "disaster, as if an airplane fell," according to the AP.

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi called the incident "a moment for tears" and is cutting short a visit to Milan because of the crash, The Telegraph reports.

It’s an extremely rugged phone with an extra niche twist thanks to a very unique feature: it’s the first phone with a built in thermal camera.

Phones with wild features and extra protection typically ask their users to compromise somewhere else other than just general design — they come with cheaper, outdated processors, or run old software. It’s why they’re often owned either by people with jobs that require a phone that can take a it, or the most accident-prone users. The Cat S60 isn’t going to change that, but it is much more well-equipped than many of its rugged predecessors, to the point that — alongside the recently released Samsung Galaxy S7 Active — it feels like it belongs to a new guard of niche smartphones that don’t require those same sacrifices. If you need, or want, a phone like the Cat S60, you won’t be disappointed.

The Cat S60 feels indestructible from the moment you pick it up. The stainless steel and carbon fiber frame alone are enough to convince you that it's going to be just fine if (and when) you drop it. But the spec sheet backs this up, too. The phone is drop proof from up to 1.8 meters (6 feet). There are a handful physical buttons and ports, but it’s still waterproof up to 2 meters — 5 meters if you flip the little gold switches on the front-facing speakers that help block out more water. You can even use it in temperatures as cold as -13 degrees Fahrenheit and as hot as 131 degrees Fahrenheit.
