United States President Barack Obama says his daughters would love to meet Lionel Messi

The American president tells the media of his daughters' wish while on an official visit in Argentina
The President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, on an official visit to Argentina, revealed a special request forwarded by his teenage daughters.
Specifically, Mr. Obama spoke of their wish to personally meet Lionel Messi, the global football star and member of Futbol Club Barcelona and the Argentina national team.
Mr. Obama, in Argentina following his historic visit to Cuba, publicly unveiled the hopes of his daughters Malia and Sasha, who are fans of Messi.
Nevertheless, the introduction will have to wait, as the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is currently in Chile, where Argentina are getting ready to face their South American neighbors in a qualifying match for the 2018 World Cup.
"My daughters met Pope Francis," Mr. Obama said. "And now they want to meet Messi, but I still haven't been able to set it up."
Mr. Obama is a self-proclaimed 'soccer dad,' while Malia and Sasha have played soccer and are fond of the sport.
Speaking to a group of young Argentine entrepreneurs, Mr. Obama also had praise for Manu Ginobili, another well-known Argentinian athlete. Ginobili plays for the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. Basketball is one of Mr. Obama's biggest passions.
Another reference to Messi in 2011
This is not the first time Mr. Obama has made a public statement about Messi. Back In 2011, he compared himself to the FC Barcelona striker during an official White House reception for the Major League Soccer (MLS) champions, the Colorado Rapids.
It was then that Jeff Plush, the director of the Rapids, flattered the so-called leader of the free world by giving him his own Rapids jersey inscribed with 'Obama' and the number 10.
Plush said, "As you know, the number 10 is the leader." Mr. Obama then elicited a chuckle from the crowd when he replied: "So, me and Messi, we're right up there."

Leicester have spent 10 times as many days top as Manchester United since Sir Alex Ferguson retired... but where would their 66 points put them at this stage in other years?

There is something delightful yet downright ludicrous that Leicester City ‒ the team that were written off as relegation fodder ‒ have spent 97 days top of the Barclays Premier League this season.

They will hit the 100 mark on Tuesday, equalling Manchester City's total from before Leicester took over in November, and there's a statistic that might surprise those at Old Trafford too.
This week Leicester will have topped the table for 10 times as many days as Manchester United since Sir Alex Ferguson retired three years ago as they reach their century under Claudio Ranieri.
United have spent just 10 days top since May 2013, with neither David Moyes nor Louis van Gaal able to pick up where Sir Alex left off.
Though that signifies their shortcomings since, it also shows how Leicester have shocked us.
The team that were 5,000/1 to be crowned champions in August are odds-on at 8/15 in March and could pull off the greatest shock in English football history.
They were tipped for relegation by every Tom, Dick and Harry but have proved the pundits wrong. Superbly so, and Champions League football is all but guaranteed at the King Power Stadium next season.
What matters most, though, is whether Leicester will be top on May 16 ‒ the day after they end their season with a trip to Chelsea.

Tottenham Hotspur hope not. Spurs have spent zero days top this season, just six since Sir Alex retired, and only 33 since the Premier League began in 1992.

Man in White Brussels bomber 'is wanted Paris attack suspect who travelled to Britain last year and photographed a football stadium

The 31-year-old, wanted for his role in last November's attacks in Paris, is thought to be the man captured on CCTV alongside Belgian brothers Ibrahim and Khalid El Bakraoui, according to the Belgian newspaper Sudpresse. After the two bombers had successfully detonated their bombs, Abrini was caught fleeing the scene, wearing beige summer clothes and a blue hat, having failed to set his own device off.
Abrini, pictured, is thought to have played a major role in organising this week's terror attacks in Brussels, which killed 31 people and injured hundreds more. The Belgian of Moroccan origin is known to have travelled to the UK last year, visiting Birmingham where he took photographs of an unidentified football stadium while his Islamic State cell began planning the attacks in France.

Consumer Reports' top smartphone: Samsung's Galaxy S7

Can you see that pic above...that phone is water proof
It looks like seven is Samsung's lucky number. Consumer Reports just named the Samsung Galaxy S7 the best smartphone it has ever reviewed. The S7 Edge was named its second best.
Similar to our own experience with the phones, Consumer Reports found the devices to have great cameras, excellent battery life, super-fast processors, and very high resolution screens.
The expandable storage and water-resistance features also helped the phones gain their top ratings, partially because they make the other parts of the phone stand out even more.
For example, the phone can record video in 4K, or Ultra-HD. Those files are huge in size, which makes it important to have a microSD slot for memory cards.
Battery life lasted more than 24 hours of simulated talk time -- more than twice the iPhone 6S. The speakers on the S7 and S7 edge produce loud and crisp volume.
And because of the phones' high resolution displays, screens are easier to read in bright light.

2 explosions at Brussels Airport, 1 at subway station; 26 killed

Three explosions that ripped through the Belgian capital of Brussels on Tuesday killed at least 26 people and wounded 130 more, according to Belgian media, and raised the reality of terror once again in the heart of Europe.

"We were fearing terrorist attacks, and that has now happened," Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel told reporters.
Belgian federal Prosecutor Frederic Van Leeuw said it was too soon to know exactly how many people died in the bombings. Yet the Brussels Metro Authority reported that 15 died and 55 were wounded in the subway station blast.

And Belgian media report at least 11 more people were killed in the two blasts in the Brussels Airport departure hall.
Of the two explosions at the airport, at least one was a suicide bombing, Van Leeuw said. A blast happened there outside the security checkpoints for ticketed passengers and near the airline check-in counters, an airline official briefed on the situation said.
